Julissa is a 23-year veteran of San Diegoʼs design industry and as the principal designer

at j.design.studio, she is involved in all projects. Her creative talent, combined with extensive

knowledge of the commercial interior architectural design and construction process, make

her one of the most sought-after designers in San Diego.

As a certified Interior Designer, she has met the education, experience and examination

requirements established by CCIDC Board under Section 5800 of California Business

Professional Codes. Julissa is also a Board Member for CCIDC. 

Julissa and her team promote environmentally friendly spaces and incorporate elements

that promote employee wellness in her designs. She is a member of U.S. Green Building

Council (USGBC) and USGBC San Diego Chapter.

Julissa is actively involved with IIDA (International Interior Design Association) and ASID

(American Society of Interior Designers). She is also a member of ICC (International Code

Council) San Diego Chapter where she is actively involved in promoting uniformity and

consistency in the application of building codes and public health and safety. She also serves in the Chapter's Board, this year as the Vice President of ICC San Diego Chapter.
